Do ACL's ever heal without surgery? When you sprain an ankle you're basically tearing ligaments and MCL injuries are often left to heal.
What's up with ACL's? Do they usually just completely rupture? |

No, they will never heal on their own. And with an ankle, a sprain is tiny tears in the ligaments. When an Acl goes, it completely rips. That being said. Bowman is my favorite player in the League. I was heart broken when I saw his knee. From what he came from, to what he overcame, to what he is today, not only as a player, but as a person. sighs.

I felt really bad for that guy. One of the worst injuries I've seen, right up there with Theisman's leg breaking. Just ugly. Hope he gets back to where he was before being hurt.

10-15 years ago his career would've been over with but not today, the NFL has the best doctors, trainers and physical therapists. I would bet that he's back playing football by the middle of next season.
