He's terrible in the 2 minute drill. Despite the high number of comeback wins, he doesn't play consistently good in the 4th quarter. I can go and dig up splits and show you how the guy performs down the stretch, consistently. He's not special and never will be. He's solid. Alex Smith is a far better QB. |

"Game manager" is the same as "franchise QB". It's whatever you want it to be.

The year they drafted him, they also drafted Sam Baker, who had a really good Rookie year, not sure what his deal is now though, they signed Michael Turner, had Roddy White, and every year it seems they have added weapon after weapon, including drafting Julio Jones, trading for Tony Gonzalez, and continued to add add add. They built around your franchise qb the way that you are supposed to. THe same thing has happened with Andy Dalton. They are one in the same qbs to me. The biggest difference is in my opinion is that one plays 9 games minimum a year in a dome, the other plays in Cincinnatti. Cant stand either one of them. Although, seeing Dalton fail over and over, helps when you are a browns fan. What a garbage can.

And before the horrible year Atlanta just had, Matt Ryan as starter was 56-22 (72% winning) and the Falcons made the playoffs 4 out of 6 seasons. Solid. You can go on about his failures in postseason play, but as Chiefs fans we are not qualified to comment in this matter. |

Again as Chiefs fans we are not qualified to comment on this matter. Matt Ryan at least gets them into the dance which is a lot more than many teams can say. To win the Big One you have to at least have a ticket to ride, and Ryan gets them the ticket. He is also still in his 20's, for example Elway didn't break through until his mid-30's.

There's an almost direct relationship between a QBs contract and the number of rings he has over the past 20 years. |

he's 1-4, and every time hes lost in the playoffs, i believe hes lost to the team that represented the NFC in the Super Bowl that year.
it's not like hes losing games and blowing 28 point leads to marginal teams with no talent, no defense that get squashed the very next week in the divisional round, like the Chiefs do. |

But yet, when he lost Julio Jones, their entire team went to shit. Despite having All Pros Roddy White, Tony Gonzalez, and Stephen Jackson. Meanwhile, Alex Smith loses Jamaal Charles 6 plays in, and puts up over 400 yards of total offense, and 3 TDS. not to mention that the Chiefs then lost Flowers, Houston, Charles back up in Kniles Davis, and oh, the Chiefs had Kendrick Lewis. Every opposing teams 12th man. Oh, and yes, HE DID BLOW A HUGE LEAD. They were up huge on the Seahawks two years ago. But, they ended up winning the game anyways. But, of course his wr made the clutch play, the Chiefs all world wide receiver, couldn't stay in bounds.
