Seems like cutting TJ would be a classic case of cutting ones nose to spite their face.

How so? Stats never tell the whole story. They're mostly used to skew a point of view. Do you happen to know when the tackles/sacks occurred? What games? Down distance? % relative to opportunities? How many downs he plays? etc.

I like the Chiefs face, sure wish they'd get a nose job...

It would be. But people can't get past his draft position.

That might have been his desired role day 1 but he wasn't good at it.

He's actually good at it now.

Never said he wasn't good at it. Said he hasn't evolved, or changed, if you must. He's the same two down player he's always been

Except that he's not.

He's a much better 2-down player than he was...

I'm not saying he hasn't gotten better. Nowhere have I said he's not good. I was speaking of what Brandt had spoken of on NFL Radio about how Jackson has evolved his game. He hasn't evolved in anyway. Improved, yes. I'm saying he hasn't evolved into a multi-role, run stopping/pass rushing three down player. I was insinuating that he's never been worth his high draft pick, or even a second round pick. I was just pointing out that the show itself hypes players up more than necessary and are too concerned about not upsetting said players than just speaking truth.

Yes, he's a better run stuffer than he was originally, but he hasn't evolved into something more. Evolve isn't the same as improving.

Sorry if what I said didn't make sense

Very very good against the run.
Draft-hate aside, him being gone is a loss and a huge hole to fill.

Don't forget Dorsey at 5. That's two top 5 picks in the last 6 years or so that are walking out the door. Let's hope the number 1 can ****ing pan out. Ridiculous. It's really rather ****ing infuriating. These are supposed to be cornerstone picks, and we just blow one after another...God hates this franchise...

Lots of hate on TJax.

Guarantee you if we had picked him up in the 6th round, people would be arguing to keep him.

Dorsey believes that you need two run-stopping DEs. It's pretty clear, the way he's tracked down DeVito and apparently has eyes on Bryant.

So if that's the case, and it most definitely is, Jackson's a fair plug-in.

He'll probably run around $4m-$5m a year.
