Funny thing is most people were wringing their hands about pitching (and still complain regularly about it).

We're #2 in the AL right now. We were #1 last season, and missed the playoffs because our offense sucked. We probably improved 2 of our worst spots in the lineup, but we were always counting on good or bounce-back years from everyone else, and if the team doesn't start hitting then once again we'll do nothing despite good pitching.

But we didn't add any HR-pop, which I thought should have been priority #1 in the offseason.

I guess it's nice to have a true leadoff, but we might have been better off signing an RF with some punch and keeping Gordo at leadoff.

well to be fair, it was pretty clear through he and his wife's comments after signing that they never really wanted to come to KC, they were using us to get a good deal out of the Yankees.
