So apparently this utter milquetoast pussy has written for ESPN and other nation-wide media. Who the **** is this "Hampton" emo queerbait? He sure does look intellectual though, I guess we better listen to him since he is obviously smarter than all of us.

That’s not only offensive, it’s tacky — exactly the same as white folks putting on blackface.
Yes, the Chiefs are named in honor of a former mayor, “Chief” H. Roe Bartle. But Bartle got that nickname after founding the Tribe of Mic-O-Say — a Native American-based honor society in the Boy Scouts of America. In other words, more minstrel show-like appropriation of Native American imagery.

Sometimes you're just so far in the minority you should just shut the **** up! If this guy gave a shit about the plight of Native Americans he could spend his time working for charities geared toward helping improve the lives of impoverished Native Americans. I doubt he would though because it wouldn't give him the attention he craves.

Rather than be defensive about the Chiefs name, perhaps we should turn this around and think about whether a new name might provoke an even stronger connection with fans. For example, would we actually feel more warmly about the team if they were the Kansas City Barbecuers or the Kansas City Breastgazers?

Why we are at it we need to get rid of words such as Commander and CHIEF and CHIEF Justice.....those are offense too.
