What the heck are you expecting from Alex? Play calling and blocking is absolutely horrendous. I'm no Alex lover, but this is not his fault.

I do not always say it's not his fault. You assumed I was an Alex defender because I was enjoying wins. I've called Alex out before.

Can you blame the guys for happy feet behind this line?

the last playoff spot will come down to you fruits and the chargers on the last game of the season and you will lose.

You will win a superbowl in the year 2037

2037 will probably be a strike year and confound the Chiefs. The window slams shut on them yet again. That is my prediction.

Thank God. I was worried.

We'll be the Manchester Chiefs or something by then.

It's not worth it... just let it go. Anyone who watched that game and come in here and rip on Smith is just trolling. Smith missed a big conversion to Bowe that he should have had, and misread a read option play. That's it. otherwise, about as good as anyone could have played with the abuse he was taking.

My hopes for the season are simply to limp into the playoffs and somehow, some way steal a win so the board can finally put that poor dead horse in the ground. Crazy long shot at this point, but I'm still hoping... anyone else?

My hopes are actually the opposite; that we tank and the ownership and front office will realize there are on the wrong trek. A playoff win would only reinforce what they're doing now...and what they're doing now isn't ever going to lead to anything meaningful.

a sliver of hope.. but I don't really think a team with this OL and run D can pull out a win vs a real playoff team..

The playoffs would be the absolute worst thing that can happen to your boy.

The team has to lose out for the FO to realize they aren't one or two guys away from winning anything significant.

I would have to disagree. This team needs to learn how to win on a consistent basis. They have lost for so long that it will take work to change that culture and mindset. You can see it here on CP. Imagine how much worse it must be for the players who live and work with it every day.
