Alex Smith's 2nd year looks alot like Trent Green's 2nd yr w/Chiefs

stat-wise and Because we are the Chiefs and DKTM

Trent Green 2002 (32 years old)
287/470 - 61.1% 3,690 yards 26 TDs 13 INTs

Alex Smith 2014 (30 years old)
303/464 - 65.3% 3,265 yards 18 TDs 6 INTs

Well sans the TDs but Green only had 17 in 2001 and Smith had 23 in 2013.

Clark Hunt is a businessman, and he makes a lot of money each year from the Chiefs.

He isn't from KC, doesn't live in KC - doesn't even go to every game - but he banks every dollar he can. The rest...he writes off on his taxes.

Until that changes, nothing will change except the names of the players they bring in and out.

I've seen it all my life.

But Alex just gets ****ed by those WRs.
Crabtree was coming back from an injury in 2012, nice try though.

****IN BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

You and Clay seem to be the only guys not in full on lust with this kid... what the hell is your problem with this rookie? To me, he's one of those extremely rare guys where every time they even come close to getting the ball its worthy of a "the entire stadium audibly held its breath" moment.

Returns punts for touchdowns.
He's runs jet sweeps like a mfer.
Already learning how to go deep for a catch.

Jason Avant can catch 40 - some odd passes for 500 yds and no TDs every year.

If some thick heads want to use the 'anyone could do what Alex does' argument, the same could be said about Bowe. Avant showed up here and was instantly the best receiver on the roster. And he had just been CUT. By Carolina. Another team where Bowe might be the #3 WR on the roster.

But the real point is : Haley was a lot better at maximizing a players effort and turning potential into production than people give him credit for.

It isn't 2010 anymore. The WR Whisperer is gone, and he took Bowe's 15 TDs with him. Fat Andy can't call Bowe a fat ass like Haley literally did. He's too nice. And fat.

They're all too nice. And fat.

Nice guys finish last.
Wait who caught 40 balls for aroundv500 yards and no tds?

It's exactly what you implied.

If Dorsey, Reid and Smith are staying, and everyone acknowledges this, what is the point of stating it?

Either you are inferring that people are claiming that they are gone, which doesn't exist, which is a strawman, or you are wasting time by stating the patently obvious in Maddenesque fashion.

Illogical or pointless, likely both, but that's a digression overall from the punch-drunk stupidity of your post in its entirety.
