Bell was an amazing player. We talked about him before here on the CP, but it's worth repeating. He was a QB in high school, wore high tops because he had bad ankles. He played on special teams his entire career as the deep snapper for Stenerud and Wilson. He returned an onside kick for a TD against Denver. He was the first pure outside linebacker elected to the Pro Football HOF. That last accolade speaks volumes. His number has been retired. No other Chiefs will ever wear #78.
