Exactly. Which is why giving a team a pass for taking a QB in the 1st is horse shit. Drafting a QB in the first makes it more likely on getting a good QB, but there are still misses. If the Chiefs drafted a QB in the 1st and he became a bust, a fair amount of posters here would say, "Oh, at least they tried. It's OK,". A bust is a ****ing bust, regardless of the position.

Hilton dropped the ball all over the field today and Luck still had a great game.

Yes you can put some blame on Dalton.

I don't disagree.

But 3 years in, Manning wasn't in that class yet either

Lewis should have been gone a long time ago.

The AFC teams remaining are the Broncos, Patriots, Colts, and Ravens. Other than possibly the Raiders, I can't come up with a combination that would be less enjoyable. What a boring, boring league this is any more.

It actually took Manning 5 or 6 years to even win a playoff game. Luck's won two now.

Not really.

I just hate the rhetoric that young qbs suck because they may be 0-2 in the playoffs. You're playing the best teams of said year, in a one game elimination.

In terms of coaches, like with marty, it seemed he had a mental block in terms of decisions in the playoffs.

Truthfully, I haven't followed the Bengals enough to know if that's the case with lewis

The two losses to Houston with TJ Yates and Matt Schuab are the bad playoff loses for the Bengals. The rest they have been beat by better teams.

That's the other stat after today. This guarantees that the Ravens/Steelers/Patriots/Broncos/Colts will have gone to 14 of the last 15 Super Bowls.

It obviously has to be something between not trying and taking one just to take one... there's really no excuse for not trying over the course of 3 decades. It's not inexcusable to draft a QB who ends up being a bust... it's a risk and you're probably going to lose more often than not.
