According to the report, the league sources say the NFL determined 11 of the 12 footballs used by the Patriots were under-inflated by two pounds per square inch each. Per NFL rules, footballs are required to be inflated between 12.5 and 13.5 PSI and weigh between 14 and 15 ounces.

It's pretty sad that this will largely go unpunished. Payton gets a suspension for a year for not breaking any rules to speak of. Brady will get told not to do it again.

It would've been interesting to see how the public would react if Brady came clean and claimed it was an honest mistake.

But he probably couldn't go that route after the Radio interview he did a few days ago.

Had he admitted it and claimed he didn't know the rule, this probably all blows over.
