Pats Cheating Comfirmed

According to the report, the league sources say the NFL determined 11 of the 12 footballs used by the Patriots were under-inflated by two pounds per square inch each. Per NFL rules, footballs are required to be inflated between 12.5 and 13.5 PSI and weigh between 14 and 15 ounces.

Belichick's response during Spygate : In a February 17, 2008 interview with The Boston Globe, Belichick denied ever taping another team's walkthrough practice, saying that "I have never authorized, or heard of, or even seen in any way, shape, or form any other team's walkthrough. We don't even film our own. ...[in my] entire coaching career, I have never filmed a walkthrough, our own. I've never been on a staff that has filmed a walkthrough. I'm talking about when I was a head coach. As an assistant, I've never seen a head coach film a walkthrough the day before a game."

Sounds awfully familiar.

Right, except taping walkthroughs is NOT what Spygate was about. Not at all.

The report about taping walkthroughs was later RETRACTED by the reporter who reported on it, who also apologized.

And you wonder why I defend them? Because the haters can't even get basic facts right. They just want to smear them with labels without knowing or caring what the FACTS are. You're entitled to your own opinions, but not your own facts.

Bill's a helluva coach … we hadn't ran them the whole year [and the Patriots were ready for them]." And the only time that Rams practiced those plays? At the walkthrough.

Gee, I wonder how that happened?

Dunno how anyone believes that he didn't know anything.

1) The type of people who become coaches *typically* have a personality that relies on control. Just by the nature of what they do, as their job is 100% reliant upon getting a group of people to act in a specific manner to carry out a coach's plan. This bleeds over from the field or the court to anything ancillary related to the game. Wearing shirts and ties on gameday. Being ten minutes early to practice means you're five minutes late. Et cetera.

A coach *will* know about what's going on with his (or her) team as it pertains to the game.

2) One of the highest profile personalities to come out of Belichik's regime was Pioli. We all know what kind of borderline psychotic things that nutjob did.

True enuff!

I thought I saw someone defend the "walk through" charge using a player on the losing team. Thought it was in this thread even.

Well, gee. Who knows? All the evidence was destroyed.

Be as big of a homer as you want ... destroying the evidence was an insane way to show the Patriots cheating wasn't a competitive advantage ... agree? Or are you going to keep being naive?

Shredding documents and video is usually a good way of proving innocence, right?

Or, realistically, the evidence was so damning it was the only way to protect the shield.

Looks like it was Go Making Charges relying on a sore loser set of players. He likes teams that blame others for their losses. Oh wait! His team loses to the Patriots.

It's a fact, eh? Marshall Faulk doesn't think so. But I guess I'll take ASTERIX' word on it over a well respected hall of famer who happened to play in that game. But, again, all evidence was destroyed to protect the shield so you're right ... Who knows?

Walsh would've been the first person to ever change his story after being threatened by a billion dollar corporation with its integrity on the line ... right?

Sore losers usually have an axe to grind. He's bitter. It's understandable though.

If that player wasn't a Ram, you'd have a point

but I would take his opinion as biased , personally...

the Boston herald (who "broke" the fake rams story) has since come out and apologized and said they should not have run the story. They admit they didnt have anything but an anonymous source with no evidence and shouldnt have run with it.

Again...

Walsh would've been the first person to ever change his story after a shake down. Totally.

Here's the kicker: if the NFL didn't want speculation, they shouldn't have DESTROYED the evidence.

They did, and because of this it would be NAIVE to not assume the DESTROYED evidence wasn't EXTREMELY damning.
