Pats Cheating Comfirmed

According to the report, the league sources say the NFL determined 11 of the 12 footballs used by the Patriots were under-inflated by two pounds per square inch each. Per NFL rules, footballs are required to be inflated between 12.5 and 13.5 PSI and weigh between 14 and 15 ounces.

Ummm what?

They approved the balls. And then at halftime the balls were under-inflated. It's already been ruled out that weather conditions wouldn't cause the deflation.

I really like how, in light of your completely humiliating threads, you are doubling down on everything, and the Patriots cheating to win Super Bowls is now Tom, personally, cheating to win Super Bowls.

All to elevate your guy, Manning, who precisely nobody thinks of as the GOAT because, you know, one ring and nine one-and-dones.

But it shows balls. You definitely have balls. Good luck with your new narrative.

How do you figure? They still must have the pressure at a certain level and didn't. Refs goofing up changes nothing.

Putting aside the confusing language you used (I assume you mean "ruled out that weather conditions WOULD cause the deflation") I haven't seen any kind of ruling out.

Bill Nye the science guy said no, but a whole bunch of other scientists said yes, the Patriots are right.

So before you leap to any more inaccurate conclusions (why stop now!) you might want to revisit that one.

If they don't log the PSI, there's no proof the balls the refs approved were EVER compliant, for any number of reasons.

Yeah....so the logical reasoning is that the Patriots inflated their balls in a sauna while the Colts did theirs outside.

Boston Globe: So did the weather do it?

Probably not. Temperature may have played a role, but the field wasn’t cold enough to explain the full 2 psi drop. More likely, the weather had an accomplice.

The failure to log PSI causes multiple problems:

1. how do we know how far under the balls were when retested, if nothing is ever logged?

2. how do we know the differences between Colts balls and Patriots balls if nothing is ever logged. Apparently, if the Colts balls went from 13.5 to 12.5 due to atmospheric conditions, then we're never going to know that. All we will know is "compliant" both before the game and when retested.

The whole thing is ****ed. Belichick and Brady and the Patriots have been absolutely torched reputationally by allt his, when the whole thing is seriously, seriously ****ed. A bunch of media leaks and mediocre performance by the NFL leads to them being condemned by everyone, with just nothing at all to back it all up.

I'm continuing to reserve judgment on it all. Maybe the Wells report will have something that is actually useful, but at this point it just looks like a complete mess.

No. That isn't at all the case.

If you never measure, and the Patriots were at 12.5 before the game, and the Colts at 13.5, and atmosphere drops both by 1 pound, the Patriots are below pressure but the Colts are not.

That explains absolutely everything, nobody DID anything wrong, and yet the Patriots have had to go through a week of this crap for nothing.

I don't know that that is what happened, but neither does anyone else at this point because the NFL isn't saying much. But to leap to "cheaters!" based on all this is ridiculous.

Pre-game: All balls are tested and approved by the refs. Should they have been logged? Yes. That's a **** up by the NFL.

Half-time: All balls are tested and the Colts still pass while 11 out of the 12 Patriot balls are 2 psi under-inflated.

Logical reasoning? The weather.
