Pats Cheating Comfirmed

According to the report, the league sources say the NFL determined 11 of the 12 footballs used by the Patriots were under-inflated by two pounds per square inch each. Per NFL rules, footballs are required to be inflated between 12.5 and 13.5 PSI and weigh between 14 and 15 ounces.

I've always liked Rachel Nichols. But now I'm a huge fan. While everyone else is lobbing softballs at Goodell because of the NFL's media power, Nichols throws him a mean fastball.
His snarky tone to Nichols is not going well. Trending big on Twitter. Not good for a guy women already disrespect given that they make up 45% of the football demographic.

But a great question people have been asking forever. How can you call an investigation independent when there is a huge conflict of interest. In this case, at least Wells is somewhat independent even though he's technically highly paid for by Kraft... in the Baltimore investigation, that was a complete joke.

Have fun!
And the difference is this time BB is declaring his innocence when he did not on Spygate, which he openly, admitted. The same thing could have been done taking a series of still photos of the signals with notes on the plays and that would have been legal.

There you go again, using guilt established by media. You always do it no matter who it is. You'd make a good sheep dog. Oh and the Pats recieved one of the heaviest fines for Spygate, which you called getting off easy.

It is a fair question. To Goodell's credit, his response was fair too. There is undoubtedly a conflict of interest that doesn't make these investigations "independent." The Ray Rice situation, in particular, had an enormous conflict of interest.

But he's not getting grilled for his answer. He's getting grilled for his condescending tone which continues to point to Goodell's unbelievable level of arrogance.

Yeah, but it's not really a REAL question with you. It NEVER is and you've clearly shown that, not here but elsewhere. You use innuendo. One could say any organization can't police itself internally—at least fully. But the bottom line is Goodell did levy a big penalty and did police the matter. They are doing so here. But it's beginning to look like a lot of hot air, especially of the refs don't bother to log the psi of both the Pats or Colt's balls.

Yep, everyone knew this from the moment it happened and people are still complaining that the NFL hasn't done anything yet.

The fact that nothing has been done by the NFL yet leans towards guilty. If the NFL had found nothing wrong they probably would put out a statement asap to get the focus back on the game.

The don't want to say 'oh btw one of the teams in the upcoming Super Bowl is a cheater'. They also don't want any punishment to include the Super Bowl.

We have no idea what's going to happen but the NFL wants it to happen AFTER the Super Bowl.

Haley would have sued the shit out of Pioli and the Chiefs if there was really any bugging going on. He was trying to get more money from them after he was fired. He could have sued and had Pioli kicked out of the NFL, if not put in jail, and gotten all the money he wanted. He didn't.

Haley was a whiny bitch and completely full of shit.

There is no innuendo.

It is a fair question. Goodell is positioning these as independent investigations which couldn't be further from the truth. I don't know what innuendo you're implying. I've already said I don't think this is a big enough deal to throw the book at the Patriots, even if found guilty. I am saying that the NFL has lost the credibility to believe that they are going to conduct any investigation, Patriots or not the Patriots, credibly.

And only Patriots fans look at Spygate and think that New England was harshly punished. Every single fan outside of New England believes they got off really easy.

Yeah, Pioli wasn't obsessively monitoring people at Arrowhead. Good point.

'obsessively monitoring' is not even in the same universe as bugging

monitoring employees is what a boss does

The 'obsessively' part is just more bullshit that we have no idea how true it was.

A whiny little bitch janitor getting into trouble for not sweeping a floor is not even remotely obsessive. I've been there and done that from both sides. I've been the sweeper and i've monitored the sweepers. Checking to see if the same dirt is in the same place for days on end is how you keep track of it. You don't have time to break out the white glove and see if the floors are spotless.
