I don't get into the the weight thing or looks or judging my girls or wife. That's a disastrous road, man, that can lead to lifelong issues.

I'm not stating that weight is an issue with my girls but my advice to ALL men of ALL ages is this:

Choose your battles wisely.

I just wish she would stop hinting that I need to change my diet when she is sitting there eating her box of Oreos.

With my children, we want them to eat more because it doesn't seem like they eat enough. But I get it because I could eat 4,000 calories a day until I was 37 and not gain a pound from my high school days (I was working out, of course).

I just don't want to give them a complex and have them looking over their shoulder every time they skip or eat a meal. It's not the end of the world.

We're teaching them to eat right: No soda, no sweets, no junk. Blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, strawberries, bananas, Z Bars, grilled chicken, etc. Veggies are still a tough sell but they'll come around.

Just no guilt.

Oh man. That reminds me of something I said to my daughter so I guess I do have a comment I can add to this thread. I was a heavy smoker for 30 years. She's an RN. She would occasionally try to give me shit about it. Well...she carries a little extra weight. So back in the early 2000's she was nagging me and I said something like, "Did you see that article where more people are dying from obesity than smoking?" I don't even know if it's true or not, I just saw a headline that stuck in my head about it. She was not amused. Not at all.
