There was so much pressure to go to college, get married, have kids and buy a house that it can mess with your mind if those aren't your goals.

I tried to "play along" until I was miserable. No one understood it, not my parents and certainly not my girlfriends (even though I always warned them in advance).

Those ideals work for some people. I actually know people scores that have been together since Junior High that have children, grandchildren and in a few cases, great grandchildren before 50!

And here I am, 49, with a 2 year old.
