Pats Cheating Comfirmed

According to the report, the league sources say the NFL determined 11 of the 12 footballs used by the Patriots were under-inflated by two pounds per square inch each. Per NFL rules, footballs are required to be inflated between 12.5 and 13.5 PSI and weigh between 14 and 15 ounces.

Well, dont' underestimate the joy of torturing you, for one.

I know, I know. When Deflategate blew up you thought you had FINALLY won. Everyone would see Brady and the Patriots as cheaters and recognize Peyton as this generation's GOAT. Then Deflategate turned into Jokegate, and Brady got his fourth ring with an amazing fourth quarter comeback against what everyone agrees has been the best defense in the NFL the last few years, so your dreams were shattered.

Must be tough. I'd say I'm sorry but, well, I'd be lying.

The league wouldn't destroy tapes of just stealing signs AND take a first round pick AND give the coach and Owner the largest fives in the history of the league.

Gimme a break

You guys are being obtuse

Can we turn back the clock to Lizzie McGuire season 1!? Because if so, I'll take a week of Ms. Duff, please. Maybe with a small side of Hannah Montana and a dessert of Ren Stevens.

The league had just clarified a rule that was vague, because others were doing it. Nevertheless, BB still used a video to steal signals openly in front of thousands. So the league had to set an example. Meanwhile, they could still steal signals with a non-moving camera which is allowed. Those rules are pretty stupid that way. It's no wonder that teams have phony signals and sometimes a phony signaler. Intel is part of the game. You still only have one incident and not one that disallows use of a different kind of camera.

Also, holding is cheating too. NFL=32 glass houses.

why the **** are you defending the Patriots on this board?

what are you gaining by it?

why was Just Passin' By arguing with me about the Patriots at 4 AM EST the night they won the Super Bowl?

You two are EASILY more pathetic than me and according to CP I'm pretty god damn pathetic.

Here's an idea:

GO FIND YOUR OWN ****ING BOARD TO TALK BOSTON SPORTS ON.

If we want to call the Patriots cheating scumbags, that's well within we're right, and we don't need two dipshit Patriots fans coming to their rescue every ****ing time on CHIEFSPLANET.COM.

Why aren't you and the poster boasting he has a dick the size of an elephant's trunk applying this same logic to the Charger fan in here who is chastising the Patriots ( a whole team) as cheaters, including posting updates and initial reports that have not panned out?

What do you want, one big circle jerk? Most NFL boards have members from different teams as does this one. I don't see it in any rules.

If every team receives penalties, then every team is full of cheaters cheating. They break rules routinely. Thus, 32 glass houses!

Let me ask you something.

If all they did was just bend the rules just a tad and videotape signals using an unapproved method. ..and that's ALL they did...then whats the purpose of destroying the tapes (so nobody would ever have a chance of seeing them and the content getting out) when its ok to do it anyway using a different camera?

If you patriot fans TRULY believe that, you are flat out stupid people.

People dont destroy evidence unless its soo bad it would bring a bunch of people down if the content got out.

Anyone with common sense can tell there was a lot more on those tapes that just stealing signals and that the HC knew about it.

The owner and coach were given the biggest fines in league history and the team was stripped of a first round pick.

That type of penalty is/was unprecedented for a reason.

FIRST, Jay Glazer has a copy of the Spygate tapes. Apparently there is what the NFL might consider an embarassing amount of T&A on there.

Quote:
Do you have any worries about the Spygate issue if it does eventually end up in front of Congress? Do you worry about being in a Judith Miller-type situation because of your involvement in it?

JG: Well, I got a call from Sen. Specter and he asked me to meet...first off, there was some ridiculous report out there that said I had agreed to hand over the tapes to Congress. I do have the tapes, but am not doing that, nor would I, and if they want to see them, I show them at parties all the time, so they're more than welcome to come over to my house and see them. Me and my buddies will watch them all the time, because the tapes are hilarious to be honest with you....

How's that?

JG: Because it's not just football...it's classic. The tapes go back and forth between... Well, the first part of the tape, the guy recording it , all he's focusing in on are the butts of the Jet City Dancers. He's going from chick, to chick, to chick, and then you see, like, Tom Brady step in and then he'll [the dude taping it] hit the coaches a little bit, but when there's a break? He goes into the stands and then focuses on T and A. It is classsssic. It is like Spygate meets "Girls Gone Wild."

And that's what's on the tapes that everyone's getting upset about? Does that damage the credibility of those tapes at all?

JG: Oh, no, no, no,no — because the rest of it, is damaging. Because they go the coaches, to the down and distance, back up to the coaches, back to the down and distance — it couldn't be anymore clear. They focus in on three guys the entire time, it is soooo brazen it's incredible.

SECOND, Glazer doesn't say anythign is on there beyond what everyone knows to be on there.

THIRD, what possible reason would Goddell have to keep the tapes? Is he going to show them at a movie theater? What you paint as a vast conspiracy to hide something worse than Spygate is probably more easily explained as "I've leveled my punishment and now we're MOVING ON".

Quote:

Except the contents DID get out, and the guy that has them seems pretty unexcited about it. You think Glazer would hide something WORSE? WHY?! That is the part that really makes no sense.

The NFL isn't a courtroom. It can do whatever the hell it wants with the stupid tapes. It's options weren't good. Put them in a vault? Shwo them on TV (so other teams can then use the "illegal" videotapes of defensive signals)? What did you want him to do with them?

Destroying them makes as much sense as any other option they had.

Guaranteed that Glazer got a "copy" of the Spygate tapes. That "copy" was the least damning one that didn't show shit. Everything else was destroyed.
