Yesterday we brought to you the news that a reveal of Bungie's next project, Destiny, was being hinted at for this upcoming Monday, February 18 – an augmented-reality game on the studio's website seemed to be pointing toward that date. Well, we won't have to wait quite that long. It's now been announced that Destiny will be unveiled one day earlier than we thought, on this Sunday, February 17.
An official Facebook page went live today and made that announcement as its first order of business. A Twitter account for the game has also been activated as well.
And if all that isn't enough to get you hyped, have a first look at the game's just-revealed logo as well:

I decided to do Iron Banner tonight...

...and I'm not sure what happened but I had my best night ever in crucible. Won 3 out of 5, was never low score, was over 1.0 k/d 4 out of 5 matches (i have never been over 1 before) and got my Invective bounty from 0 to 20/25.

I'm pretty good at crucible and can get the bounties done with relative ease, but damn, I hate playing in the iron banner bc of the full teams you play against. Played yesterday and lost a control match 20000 to 3000. It's good to run with at least two other guys who you can at least coordinate and communicate with. The full teams you play against seem to use their supers very well to produce maximum orbs of light and then they can just keep cycling through supers.

I always run solo. It does get frustrating when you run into an obviously miked fire team. They're just waiting for you wherever you go.

My first few matches today balanced out last night. Started out with one of my worst matches ever (see above re: mike's...). Ended strong, still lost most of my Invective gains but completed Bad JuJu. Which much to my surprise I had fun with (in PvE). I think I can finish Invective if I play more carefully. Thorn is going to take a while, if I ever finish it.

Biggest issue for me is learning the maps. I'll probably get a little better. Eventually.

Now I'm just gonna grind and hopefully get rank 4 with IB so I can get an armband. Make the next IB a little bit easier on myself.

I'm about 75% of the way through rank 3. Knowing the usual alleys/sight lines certainly helps but even my full team gets smoked occasionally. The worst is the lone wolf that always wants to be a hero and cap the 3rd point. He flips the spawn and then the score starts to flip. Hold two points and make them come to you. It's the most important rule in control.

I also switched to Thorn for my primary and I'm loving it. I kept getting killed by it so I figured I should try it.

The Thorn is too good in crucible. I hate getting killed by it. I don't have the upgraded version that goes to 331 so it would be useless in IB for me. And ditto on the control points. No need to triple cap. Hold two for the majority, slay out and you'll win.

I'm about 3/4 through rank 2. I didn't start until about 1 am this morning, though.

I'm not quite to the point where I can consistently finish the bounties, though, aside from the 10k xp one, so it's going to take a lot of matches. Learning to play the maps doesn't help my scoring much at this point, either. I don't think I've even hit 3k yet, best matches run around 13 kills with 1.5 k/d. I was actually low man in a close match this morning and felt really bad about that. I should've just gone to bed.

Best moment of the night, though, there was this guy who'd been racking up kills all night. He was on my team this particular match. We got pretty far down early and he just quits the match. Then we come back and win. He was actually the only guy in the 8 matches I played last night who ever left one. Which kind of surprised me.

I do not however play during prime time. I expect there are too many teams playing. Assume the weekend will be that way too.

crap. it will take forever to get up to rank three with Eris. I got the 500 kills with hive though. Its a kick ass gun on the lower levels but useless at level 30 without the upgrade.
