Selden has been the biggest disappointment since Josh Selby.

He's a horrible on the ball defender.

This team didn't have the bigs Self needs to be the defensive juggernaut he wants. They also don't have the guards that can penetrate other than Mason...problem is, Mason is just too small and he's not Sherron Collins.

Terrible defensive effort. Ellis can't defend or rebound...never could. But with a gimp knee he's basically a liability on the defensive end.

Kansas got whopped. WSU is the big dog in KS right now. I dont give a shit about admitting that, this was the worst defensive KU team I've ever seen in my lifetime.

It was one game, who cares we were going nowhere this year and in Kentuckys bracket that's where WSU is going too. Selden can play defense when he wants to, but he just disappears mentally and I don't know why.

Selden 0-5, 0 points 0 assists 1 rebound. Baker 5-10 12 points. That was essentially the margin so one could argue that worthless mutt was the difference

I'd start Graham over him anyway. I really don't care if he bolts, or comes off the bench

He seems zombie like at times, when he's on fire mentally he does really well. I've seen him take over games on Offense and Defense So it's hard to understand how he sucked so bad at both and seemed to not give two shits about it.

Anyone remember the point guard that played for Self at Illinois? Frank something..he was a top 10 recruit that played like Selden is playing now..Packer called him a bum..can't remember his name.

Frank Williams.

And Frank Williams was as clutch as they came. He'd disappear for an entire first half but when it came to crunch time or if they needed him in the 2nd half he was one of the most clutch college basketball players I can ever remember watching.

I dunno, I just don't see college sports like the pros, especially something as daunting as March Madness. A couple NC games, 6 sweet sixteens in 8 years... do away with the one and dones if it means a tougher tournament-ready team.... but oh noes, they "only" have one NC since Self got here compared to the couple other schools that have more.

Self has 2 championship appearances in the last 10 years. Has not missed a tourney in that span...AND won the conference title each one of those years...

Who exactly do you want to replace that resume with....?

Bill Self runs one of the best programs in college basketball and it's not even debatable. It's top 2, and even people who want to argue that can't argue it's not, at worst, top 5.

That's important, too... as a fan who wants to watch as much good basketball as possible every season, I'm not sure I'd trade one more NC for an NIT year or worse.

Sure, if I was a player or coach, **** it, I'd trade 3 NIT years for 1 NC run... but, as an athletically challenged adult who doesn't live and die by what a group of college kids I've never met accomplish on a basketball court, give me sustained success with a decent shot at a tournament run.
