What makes me so happy watching his highlights is remembering that we aren't counting on him to be a #1. He's opposite Maclin. If he can come in and acclimate, then we might actually have a 1-2 punch we haven't in years.

Throw in Kelce burning the seam and Charles/DAT/Wilson working the linebackers over with speed and this offense should be really versatile.

It all comes down to Maclin actually being more productive than Bowe, which I would bet my stack on.

Can't wait to hear Arrowhead when Maclin catches a TD in the home opener... because that shit is HAPPENING.

Jones/Conley 40yd-d Bench Vert Broad 3 cone
4.39/4.35 17/18 38.5/45 135/139 6.66/7.06

20yd shuttle 60yd shuttle
4.25/4.3 11.07/11.65

Based on this, Conley is Faster, Stronger and much more explosive than Jones, but Jones is quicker. This obviously only measures phsyical traits, not ability, catching or work ethic etc, but the number comparison is impressive.
I really have been curious about that 3-cone drill.

It's bad. I mean that's just a flat out bad 3-cone time for a WR. When I look at the tapes, I don't see a guy that should be that bad at that drill and if he is, I wonder why.

With his quickness (evidenced by the 10 yard split), his 3-cone should have been far better than that, especially given that he really doesn't look that stiff on tape. I almost wonder if he mis-stepped during the drill.

Found it - go to the 20 second mark:

Terrible last turn that probably cost him a full 1/4 of a second. He's also really upright so his center of gravity is high and it take a little more time to get stopped.

For instance - here's a 6.6 3-cone; much more direct lines and much quicker feet.

I wonder if Conley being a little leggy didn't hurt him there. I also wonder if he didn't just blow off the drill. His technique just looks fairly poor. I wonder if some of that unpolished route running is showing up there. His lower body seems out of control for the most part, his cut around the first cone is rounded off and his turn around the last cone is almost cartoonish. He just doesn't seem like he has good command of his lower half when he's trying to make quick cuts.

I think that has a lot more to do with most of those guys being slot WR's. How many slot WR's have 1,000 yard seasons period?

Conley is one of the only WR's in the NFL that's 6'3" and runs in the 4.3s that's what is so special about him.

I'm a giant asshole who would have been highly ranked in the 2014 roasts had I made a single ****ing post since the Chiefs playoff loss to the Colts. I also love letting people down by not participating in the CP Mock Draft. In fact, the only thing I love more than that is COCK. Because I'm a huge bitch! Derpa derpa derp derp!
