Why are people so sure Fleming makes the roster? Seems like a jag to me but maybe im misremembering?

Because the coaches thought enough of Fleming last year to cut Flowers and start him.

I'm not saying they see Fleming as a plus starter or anything, just that they weren't too worried about cuting Flowers for fear they didn't have anyone else to step in.

Andy said in an interview that it wasn't really about $ when they cut him.

Fleming wasn't acquired until September 2014, months after Flowers had been cut.

The guy was a former 3rd round pick so he does have talent and should have upside.

Working with Emmitt Thomas for a year won't hurt him, either.

This. He was later. I had absolute expectations that he would be a square of used toilet paper. I was very happy he was better than that.
