On a recruiting note,

TCU's recent success has been awesome for our recruiting. If we sign half of our 2016 commits at this point, we'll have possibly the best class we've ever had.

Perhaps he estimated that the chance to compete for playing time at Arkansas is better than a guarantee of playing every down at Kansas.

They discussed it. He wanted to go to KU, but his dad wanted him to go to an SEC school because, and I quote "in his little world that was important"

I feel bad for the kid. Never let your parents ruin your dreams. Kansas sent 11 players to the NFL this spring. But you're not going to get much of a shot if you don't play.

Hilarious that a guy who would start at Kansas can't even sniff the field at a school firmly entrenched at the bottom of the SEC. The difference between the SEC and everyone else is enormous. Texas learned that the hard way. You know it's bad when the bowls match up the Big 12 champ against SEC also-ran Ole Miss.

I'm sure that like most SEC washouts, he could still start for KU if he wanted to transfer there.
