Donaldson>Moustakas

And it's not even close.

Last night I was watching Hockey Night In Canada with Don Cherry and Ron Maclean; Don Cherry expressed a valid point in that there is an injustice going on with respect to selecting all-stars.

He pointed out that Moustakas is in the lead because it's the people in Kansas City that are giving him a gazillion votes, meanwhile, Donaldson is top 10 in the majors in RBIs, HRs, doubles, runs scored and in slugging percentage.

Fielding wise, Moustakas couldn't hold Donaldsons jock. Now is this deserving that Moustakas deserves to be ahead of Donaldson in voting when Donaldson outclasses him defensively and in a helluva lot of statistical categories.

Guys, you know this system is ****ing bullsh*t okay? Donaldson is the better player and deserves to be in there over Moustakas. You guys are voting him in there because he is your boy. This voting system on choosing all-stars is a reflection of extreme biases and favoritism. The people of Kansas City blew that out of proportion. It's just so unfair.

*Go ahead and flame away. I'm confident my point stands strong

Just got to this and I DON'T GIVE A SHIT! How many times have large market had their players go because, well, they're from a large market team.

I'll say this, it's about time.

There's no other LF or CF I'd rather have in the game playing defense than Gordon or Cain. Same goes w/ Escobar at SS or Perez behind the plate. Those guys are legit.

Davis and Holland are also deserving. That's 6 players who are deserving. I'm not sure what the Royals are supposed to do...hate the voting process not the players who are in it. If people don't like it get out and vote against them I guess. I'm sure they'll change the rules after this season.

I like to look at it as, the Royals get to play for their HFA in the World Series.
Royals fans shouldn't give any shits if a Royal deserves the ASG or not, just vote them all in already

The offensive difference between Donaldson and Moustakas is equivalent to the offensive difference between Moustakas and Brett Lawrie.

B) No one likes A-Rod.
C) Even if Morales is, in your opinion, only the fourth best DH in the league with a month until the All-Star Game, why does that mean he doesn't even deserve a "sniff," as the author of the previous post declared? Should only the top 3 choices of Hamas Jenkins and CoMoChief deserve to sniff the delicious scent of All-Star glory?

It's not debatable at all. They have all been significantly more productive than Morales, as has Prince Fielder.

It has everything to do with it; you just aren't smart enough to understand the argument.

Sale, Kluber, and Price have a combined five games against the Royals. That must be why Moustakas' season's offensive numbers are 30 percent worse than Donaldson.

I totally agree with Hamas about who's "better" or an All-Star based on production. I just dont see why Royals fans should care. Its a popularity contest. The funniest thing is many Royal fans have over exaggerated protective parents syndrome where they feel the need to justify their own as the very best when its clearly not true. Its quite obvious Escobar, Morales, Moustakas, Hosmer are not the best at their position, and yes im taking into account defense. Its really not even debatable. Still doesnt stop me for voting all Royals though. #DownWithTheSystem

Wow dude. First of all, **** off. Secondly, I never said Moustakas was better than Donaldson or that Donaldson isn't a good player. I was simply saying before he is elected to the HOF, it is worth mentioning that he plays in a division chalk full of shit pitching. Sale, Price, and Kluber served as an example of the quality of pitching in the Central. The post was generally light hearted, as evidenced by my inclusion of JGuts. The Jays fan, whom the post was intended for, didn't take any offense and responded with an interesting bit of perspective. Not sure why you got your panties in such a wad over this.

It absolutely is debatable. The difference between Rodriguez, Bautista, and Morales this year isn't as significant as you seem to think it is.

Since Hamas and others seem to think ARoid and Bautista are 'significantly better' then Morales this year, here's the numbers:

1. Bautista - 57 games, 11 HR, 38 RBI, .246 avg, .871 OPS

2. ARoid - 59 games, 12 HR, 32 RBI, .268 avg, .873 OPS

3. Morales- 59 games, 7 HR, 41 RBI, .281 avg, .809 OPS

So now everyone is aware just how much 'better' Bautista and ARoid are than Morales.

Right. Its pretty clear Morales is significantly behind here...And Prince Fielder has played the majority of the year at DH...and his numbers blow all these guys out of the water. .930 OPS

You can look at OPS, offensive WAR, home runs, whatever u want. Stop grasping for straws Royals fans, just come out and say it. You are voting for Royals just because u can. They dont have to be the best
