Two 1st round picks for Russell Wilson in '16 and '17 or '17 and '18

Do you sign the offer sheet if the Seahawks non-exclusively tag Russell Wilson?

Pole cumming.

I'd give 2 firsts for Luck, easily, but not Wilson. Still not sold on him.

I scoffed at it because it's not going to happen.

I've always given credit to Alex for rushing TDs.

People need to factor in the absolutely stacked Seattle team, especially the year they won the Super Bowl.

No question they had the best defense and it was a decent gap between them and they 2nd best defense.
Their rush offense was easily top 3. Arguably first. Their OL is a top 5 run blocking line with Beastmode.
They had Golden Tate and Percy Harvin at WR. Their ST's was top 10 with Harvin.

Seattle has easily been the best overall talented team in the NFL the last 2 seasons, even with a loss of talent at WR.

We saw a talented team carry Rex ****ing Grossman to the SB. Hell even Alex Smith was in OT of the NFCCG with a team that wasn't as talented as the 2013 Seahawks.

I am very interested to see how he does in 2016 when they will be forced to lose key players due to paying Russell.

Just for curiosity... not to prove some point or make conclusions.

Quote:
Russell Wilson

last 56 games (encompassing 3 seasons and playoff games)

62.2% - 11,770 yds - 84 TDs / 32 INTs / 18 fumbles

Alex Smith

last 43 games (encompassing 3 seasons and playoff games)

62.1% - 9,188 yds - 63 TDs / 18 INTs / 13 fumbles
I'd put the two in the same tier 2 of quarterbacks. Both good... both with different and similar skills in certain aspects. Both in similar situations the last few years. Not much offensive firepower at WR.. excellent RBs.. poor pass pro OLs.. very good defenses (except when KC's D fell apart from injuries).

Smith is the KC quarterback, and all of the dreams and tears of Wilson won't suddenly make him the KC quarterback. I say either can take the Chiefs all the way... so no.. I would keep those draft picks.

Clay is a spinning circus clown...

Dude constantly bitched about Alex not ever having a 1,000 yard WR and Kaepernick turning Crabtree into one..

But...

Wilson has never turned a WR into a 1,000 yard player either, but Stafford sure turned Golden Tate into one last year.

Lolololol

You need to look at the number of passing attempts in each offense.

Makes a huge difference.

Also interesting Is Clay constantly uses the "Alex can't win when his defense gives up 24 or more points or more."
Russell Wilson is 2-9 when his defense gives up 24 or more points

Oh the spin. Oh the hypocrisy.

Oh the spin. Oh the hypocrisy.

Not a large enough sample size.

3-37-1 is a lot worse than 2-9.

Thier O-Line is a top 5 run blocking unit, while Marshawn Lynch only managed 4.7 ypc carry while leading the league in yards after contact?

Something doesn't add up.

I bet we could get at least a second rounder for Alex from any of 5-7 teams out there and this team will be drafting in the mid 20s the next few years and with Russel, there's no way we wouldn't be drafting earlier than that.

Of course it's worth that much for the guy...he's basically already Alex Smiths absolute ceiling, IMO.

Sure I would give up two firsts for him.

But I'm not a great big Wilson fan. He has a lot of potential, but as of now, he's not too different from Alex Smith. If Alex Smith averaged 175 yards per game in the playoffs, people on this board would be going crazy.
