Tough to judge an ave QB with a bad o-line and no quality #1 wr. Hope we fixed o-line for this year, but "Does Alex Smith have enough weapons?" is going to be something we hear if he struggles, or fails to throw and spread out more TDs.

By the time the front office finally fills a glaring hole, another one will open up. Tough to see so many good Ring of fame worthy Chiefs waisted by ignoring such huge holes for so long.

Sorry if I rained on your parade, but I think the glaring holes that were there last year, still didn't all get fixed

My opinion of the past hasn't changed. I think we've mostly wasted two drafts and two offseason periods without adding a pro bowler.

He can't change that though. He can change his approach and do a better job from here forward, and he has.

This signing means KC is willing to pay the big boys that deserve it. It means we're putting being competitive over saving a few $$$.

We appear to be making moves to be competitive THIS season...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

Re-signing Bowe was a terrible move. Not drafting a WR in a deep WR draft was a terrible move. Things are certainly trending upward, though.

We aren't winning a Super Bowl behind a pass heavy offense. They signed Alex Smith then decided to build around the running game and defense. It's our best shot. Pass offense only has to be good enough to support our defense.

I do understand your perspective and appreciate your approach towards explaining it. The problem I have is, how many #1 receivers were available to us this year, knowing that was a need? We went and got the best receiver in FA and drafted major sleeper in rd 3, that has the potential to be as good as anyone we could've picked in the 2nd. I wouldn't trade the Peters pick for a WR.

Maybe Maclin won't turn out to be the number one, but when you look at what he can achieve in this offense vs what Bowe did, you can see the upside between the two.

Can't fault Dorsey for the cards falling the way they did, but I damn sure will applaud him playing the cards as they fell.

Well, they certainly got my attention.
I think we can hit 11 wins, at least.

Not going to debate that, it's just my personal opinion.

As a Falcon fan, I can't tell you how jealous I am of John Dorsey. This offseason has been such a slam dunk.

Maclin, Houston, and Peters all now on long-term. Three legitimate building blocks for playoff success. That's arguably the best offseason in the entire league.

At least Dorsey knows when to do it as the day after the MLB All-Star game is the slowest sports day (in terms of actual events) of the year.

Still hoping Dorsey will trade for Mychal Kendricks....this signing freed up some cash. Dorsey has been great...no doubt.
