Dorsey - engineer of best offseason in 20 YEARS!

Let it be noted - there is pretty much nothing Dorsey could have done better this offseason.

Great draft - Resigned Houston - Dumped Bowe - Added Maclin.

Props to knocking this offseason out of the park!

I welched dude. Already been covered.

Are you a doctor?

Mario Lemieux had the same thing and came back two months after Kemo and played for years.

It would be fantastic if he could return to the NFL but as a fan, I'm more concerned about his long term health.
Agree he has to think about his health then his love for the game.

I think a lot of this will be dependent on how early they caught it and the level of medical tech he had access to. Cancer treatment for a wealthy star athlete with limitless insurance is much different than it is for us common folk.

I dont think Berry will ever play for the Chiefs again though...he's too expensive and they dont really need him. They did right by him though...Didn't he make like $12 million or close last season...that's ridiculous for a Safety.

I think there's a reason he hasn't said anything yet. I think he'll be there the first day of training camp. You shouldn't underestimate the guy.

I'll tell you what.... If he doesn't come back this year I will ban myself and never come back.

Here is a recent good reads about Berry.

dumping bowe - meh

all the rest are good but if we had everything we have now AND bowe......

I'm not convinced dumping bowe and adding maclin will be a HUGE improvement, more of a slight one..which is fine...but I wish they wouldve found a way to have both

There hasn't been any announcement by his family or the team regarding his long term health because I doubt there's any type of prognosis so soon after chemo.

Hodgkin's Lymphoma is also a progressive cancer, so it's likely he had it for quite some time. While there's an 80% chance that he'll live longer than 5 years (which is when a patient is deemed "cured"), the cancer could return quickly after remission.

Also, it's not as if there's different cancer treatments depending on wealth. Insurance companies don't say "Oh, well he can't have that drug because he's not a millionaire". While Berry may be able to afford experimental trials, I'd be surprised if he did anything other than standard treatment at this stage.

Until a prognosis has been shared with the public, we're all in the dark.

There's too many factors that go into cancer treatment recovery and it's too individually based to say either way for sure, but I'd be doubtful he's back anytime soon

Yep. Maclin, Bowe, Kelce and your choice of Conley/Wilson would have to be the all around strongest receiving threats Smith has had in his career. If he couldn't approach 4000 yards with those guys plus the RBs and Thomas then he never will.

This signing means KC is willing to pay the big boys that deserve it. It means we're putting being competitive over saving a few $$$.

We appear to be making moves to be competitive THIS season...
Re-signing Bowe was a terrible move. Not drafting a WR in a deep WR draft was a terrible move. Things are certainly trending upward, though.
