This is important to note. Mario Williams signed a deal for roughly $16 mil per year in 20-****ing-12. IIRC, no defensive player had signed a contract worth $100 million prior to this offseason. Now there are three with contracts that large.
It may seem like a colossal burden now, but if he's racking up 16 sacks a season three years from now on this same deal it'll be a hell of a steal.
