I know no one here wants to hear about the opponents executing properly, but that was a pretty good adjustment by Melancole. He threw a 3-2 curve and walked Hosmer when he probably should've went with the cutter to induce weak contact. That's EXACTLY what he did with Morales.

Good pitching>good hitting at all times.

Showed tonight.. Ventura just isn't any good right now. This was a loss to a very good team. Good teams are going to pound guys like Ventura on a regular basis.

I didn't really want to trade for a pitcher now, but I really think we should. I don't trust Ventura in a playoff game. I don't trust him in a meaningless July national league game. Give him another year.
