There was honestly no reason to steal 3rd with 2 outs regardless of the terrible overturn. But yeah, terrible ****ing overturn.

This is the 2nd time this season I can recall Ned waiting for the 2nd out before stealing 3rd.

Pinch running for Salvy is likely the right call, but I don't think any Roayls fan wanted him coming out with Gordon/Rios/Esky coming up.

Yeah, it can take years to tweak the rules.... there was a hockey goal scored because it hit the net above the glass, came back down on the goalies back, and went in.... they could have easily reviews it and called it a no-goal, but couldn't, and then they changed the review rule in the offseason.

It shouldn't be device to dumb down decision making, there has to be some human element to it. Just get the call right.

I have no problem whatsoever with the "out because replay showed him coming off the bag for a split second" situations that are now in the game.

Just because umpires did not possess the ability to see it at full speed, doesn't mean it was right that it was never called in the past. Its in the rules, that should have ALWAYS been out, and now it will be. If you don't like it, then change the rules.

I'm all for stealing 3rd with 1 out but, regardless of success or not, putting yourself into any situation where you're making the final out at 3rd is dumb

Yeah, a wild pitch is basically it... I guess with how badly Rios has looked though, maybe that was the only hope.

Or deciding that if the 2b comes sideways behind the bag on a DP throw then it's a neighborhood play that can't be reviewed but if he's charging towards the bag to make a DP throw then it's not a neighborhood play and now it CAN be reviewed.

You gave teams a way to play gotchya and by god that's exactly what they're going to do. It really does suck.
