Predict the rest of the season

So I figure if we lose next week to the Vikings - we will see Daniel start against the Steelers - if we lose that game - I could see them pulling the plug on everything established and go with Murray against the Lions. Why the Lions game? Because it's at a neutral venue against a terrible team. HE should be able to build some confidence in that game.

If we beat the Vikings but Smith is still not leading the offense the way it should be I still think we see Daniel against the Steelers.

If Smith, by some miracle, has a breakout game I think we are stuck with him until the bye. If he can keep up the good performances then he is the starter the rest of the way.

I really don't see him making it past the Vikings. I have a terrible feeling we are in for a long two game stretch. I would love to see Daniel try and make something of our season at 1-5 but I doubt it happens.

Thoughts?

What is Reid's history of benching QB's who are tripping over their dicks?

I don't see Alex because being benched unless he is injured. We went through the same shit with Cassel. And I think the reason we stay with these guys too long is because of Clark's stubborn ass not giving the "go ahead" to cut ties because of the stupid ****ing money they are being paid by him. I believe Clark has had some involvement in the Chiefs being handcuffed to these prag QB's.

6-10... the Chiefs will start winning some games when the only thing to play for is a better draft pick.

Right or wrong, I think they are still firmly in the "it's not Alex that is the problem" corner.

... and they are not wrong.. but also not entirely right either.

The offense is the reason we are below .500. If they don't think Alex is the problem now, they will soon. He doesn't have Jamaal to bale him out of the dink and dunk passes and long runs. The offensive success of the team is riding on his shoulders.

Sink or swim, it's all on Alex now.

Posted this in another thread but I'll just drop this here too. I see it playing out like this;

@Vikings - Loss (AP breaks the single game rushing record)
Steelers - Loss (The Revenge of Haley)
Lions - Loss (Megatron breaks the single game receiving record)
@Broncos - Loss (KC makes Peyton look like he's 15 years younger)
@Chargers - Loss (Rivers goofy assed face wears a smug look all game)
Bills - Win (In a kicker's duel Santos comes out on top)
@Raiders - Loss (Team is starting to mutiny)
Chargers - Loss (1//4 the D is on IR before the game, the rest go on IR after the game)
@Ravens - Loss (Flacco carves KC up all day...think about that)
Browns - Win (Cause it's the Browns)
Raiders - Loss (Nobody cares anymore)

Final record 3 - 13

I don't know what we finish this year in all honesty, but I do know we are very weak at the two most important areas of an offense (QB, O Line) and our DC is awful at best. Fix those things and I'll have some hope again.

If we win 5 games I'll really be surprised. This team reminds me of the 2-14 mess where clearly the players weren't giving any shits all season long.

We probably finish 6-10, don't have a high enough draft pick to take the best QB. Alex is back due to salary but is on a short leash. Chase walks and there is open competition between Murray and Bray and whatever other scrub they draft in round 5. Sutton and Heck are fired, Reid gives up play calling duties and starts meddling more in offseason front office decisions.

At some point Clark is going to need to make an ultimatum to the front office that they figure out the QB situation that hasn't been solved for 30 years or else. He needs to put a ban on trading for other QB's or signing expensive FA QB's that did nothing elsewhere, and insist on drafting and developing the face of the franchise.

Reid and Dorsey are a package deal so they get two more years. We'll get close but won't get to the playoffs in either year and he cans them and tries to hire one of the Harbaughs, with Jim being the focus due to his KC family connections. We get spurned so he hires some hot defensive assistant at that time...

Theres a couple more wins in there. One of the Raider games and then either one of the Charger games or Lions or Vikings.

Why not...I'll throw some thoughts out there:

@Vikings - Win. Just because everyone expects them to lose, they show up.
Steelers - Loss Big Ben returns.
Lions - Win. The Lions are even worse than we are.
@Broncos - Loss #Peyton
@Chargers - Loss I figure we split with them.
Bills - Win With Tyrod out, we should beat them.
@Raiders - Loss Same note with the chargers
Chargers - Win
@Ravens - Loss. Living here in baltimore, they are in same spot as us. Difference is Flacco vs Smith
Browns - Win
Raiders - Win

7-9 is my guess which is just good enough to ruin our draft pick and keep Alice...

4 - 12 now that Charles is gone. I don't see us beating San Diego or sweeping Oakland which used to kind of be realistic. This team has no leaders or heart...if they did they wouldn't have crapped themselves for the past 3 games.

They'll drag the Vikes down and lose 13-17 or some such $3it since I started all possible Vikes in my FD this week...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).
