Is that we didn't play at nearly our best in any phase of the game and yest we had the lead in EVERY game, The lead after 7 in 3 of the 4 games and the lead in the 9th in two of them.

If we were playing close to the way we normally do we would have won this series handily. Instead the narrative is going to be how the 'KC way' - and by KC way I mean hitting weak ground balls all over and hoping other teams boot them- is going to revolutionize baseball.
Powerful butthurt.

Yes, it was a poor throw. However, I credit Hos for forcing that terrible throw.

As good as the Mets are, they are garbage under pressure, while the Royals thrive under it.

Reading their threads today makes my head hurt.

The Royals were "gifted" the series?

What in the mother of ****?

If it weren't for all those plays that caused them to lose, they would have won every single game. ......

Quote:
You can literally pull out one play or pitch per game from a VARIETY OF OPTIONS in games 1, 4, 5; and the expected outcome makes us the winners.

Cespedes catching two baseballs instead of kicking them = 2 wins
Perez being called out on strike three instead of being gifted second and third chances = 1 win.
Zobrist being called out on strike three instead of being gifted second and third chances = 3 wins.
Duda making one good throw last night.

What's "funny" is that Murphy looks goatish for his two booted balls the last two games, but those are definitely "Buckner plays" in which they nailed the coffin closed; but the real killer was a play before - like the Bob Stanley Wild Pitch.

So delicious.......

How to explain to non sports fans why this hurts so much? Why I couldn't sleep until 2:30am or later last night, and woke up sweating from nightmares reliving watching the botched grounders and errant throws, and still find myself thinking of them today at work like some kind of PTSD flashback?

Everyone needs to do themselves a favor and just ignore their ignorance. KC was the best team in the league from April to September, IMHO. The only reason why hey weren't a 100 win team was because Yost wanted to play with the lineups a little. (That pissed me off but **** it, Yost is God today)

New York fans are known to be sore losers and in constant denial.
You watch, next year the Mets will turn into this year's O's while the Royals reload and do this shit all over again.

In the Thor thread there was a guy who said, "Hope pitches opening day and buzzes Escobar to begin the game."

These stupid ****s are a bunch of low-lifes. I know Queens isn't exactly Manhattan, but so much for living in the cradle of culture and education that they would have us all believe.

I need help.

In 2013 we played at citi field. During that series, there was a burly, workout warrior type Mets fan who couldn't get the cap off of a bottled water. It was .gif'ed all over creation, but I'll be damned if I can locate it.

Help me find that gif.

Forevermore, I will remember all Mets fans as this guy.

And we can say the same...

Eddie not giving up 2 HR's on mistake pitches...
Hos not committing 2 errors...

I understand they are disappointed but the better team is the team that plays through their mistakes and capitalizes on the other teams' mistakes.....
