We don't even know what Pederson does here. The play calling is jekyll and hyde and we don't know which one or what percentage of it is him.

From his comments about it, Reid RARELY lets him do it so he's pretty much relegated to help game planning and unit coaching.

He commented on it earlier in the season. Then a few weeks later we started occasionally seeing what appeared to be a completely different offensive mindset. Then it would go back to the maddening horizontal/negative passing game.

I'd like to pretend Pederson was behind the vertical passing. I'd like to pretend Reid recognized the effect it had and will learn from it. But the truth is, I have no idea. Different opponents, oline injuries, Reid's history, and Smith's groundhog testicles all could be a factor in this hair-pulling offense.

I just don't have enough information to give a shit if Pederson is here or not.
