WVU has the lead for now, but all 3 teams should be 4-1 after Saturday (assuming OU beats WVU and KU beats TCU). Going to be a close race to the end.

Say what you will about the refs and KU's lack of effort, but WV looked like a very solid team tonight.

I don't think they did. They outhustled us to loose balls and on the boards, but they shot very badly. We really gave the game away with bad plays. Credit to them for making us do that, but we were flat from start to finish.

We would have lost this game by 25 if it wasnt for Perry Ellis. Im really not impressed with WVU to tell the truth. This shit wont work anywhere but Morgantown. They are a garbage team. They cant score and they hip check and claw you all game. Eventually the refs get used to it, especially Big 12 refs.

But KU played horrible. I knew once they mentioned the team got delayed to the arena for over an hour that this was going to be a struggle. WVU appears to be a neutral maychup for us on paper bcuz we dont turn it over and they force turnovers, but that is all neutralized by the fact that they worry about defending the perimeter and dont seem real good at defending inside. Unfortunately scoring inside is not our forte this year. There is absolutely no way you can dribble drive on WVU at homex the ball handler gets knocked off his spot multiple times ever single possession

I wish there was really a way to deter WVU's playing style (and other teams like them that turn basketball games into hack-filled shitfests), but there really isn't. The NCAA has kept trying to stretch freedom of movement, but if you were going to call this particular game by the book there would be a foul every play and you can't have that either.

Well, they would stop eventually... and some games already feel like there's a whistle every time down the court, so what's a few more.

If the NCAA ever wants to make their sport more watchable on a consistent basis, it would be nice to see the rules enforced when teams like this are involved, yeah.
