I'm not as down on Perry as some fans, but...
The announcers talk from time to time about how the NBA scouts think Perry needs to expand the range of his shot which he has obviously done. However, what position is he going to guard on defense? I don't see him being such a three point threat that it is worth while to try and hide him on defense. I guess time will tell...

I think Perry actually does a better job of guarding the 3 than the 4. But whatever, he'll be a deep rotation guy on a team like the Spurs.

He's not going to have to worry about that problem (and it's a pretty big problem) because he's not going to be a NBA player anyway, at least not for any prolonged period of time. The stuff he does on offense just won't work against bigs with that kind of size.

Yes, you can see him struggle against size in the college game. Perry just doesn't do well against length. We see it time and again.

He's quick enough to move around average players and heavy forwards, but he sucks against length.

Nova goes down at Xavier. Nova is now 3-4 vs. ranked teams I believe, which isn't very good for a prospective 1 seed. Everyone wants to be in the region with Nova as the 1 seed. Especially the 8 and 9 seeds.

This could be the year a 1 goes down. It should have been Bradley beating Duke but the officials decided it shouldn't happen yet.

I just hope it isn't us.

It's my only fear in sports.

I don't really give losses a second thought these days, but that would suck. It would definitely help with media coverage if it happened twice in the same tournament... it would help some if it happened in consecutive tournaments.... or else it's years of hearing about it over and over.

It'll happen in our lifetime. Nova is prime for it if they're not making their shots, as is OU. Both can't guard at all.

Not to say that any #1 seed will lose, but both Villanova and Oklahoma have a better adjusted defensive efficiency than KU.

Wichita State is going to likely going to be hugely underseeded for the 2nd straight season BTW. It cost us last year and could very well cost someone again this year.

I love KenPom, but Nova and OU can't keep anyone in front of them. They're gonna have to out score teams in March. I'd have more faith in OU due to facing better competition throughout the regular season and the best player in the country to go farther than Nova though.

They were really bad early on when VanVleet out with injury.

They're going to be underseeded. But they are pretty flawed. Their big guys are shit, and they don't defend as well as a team as they have. They're in an entirely different universe with VanVleet on the floor, but they really haven't been the same since Carl Hall graduated.

From a committee perspective, and without looking at the 24 teams ahead of them in Bracketology, I don't see how they have much of a case for anything higher than ~6-7. "Committee perspective" meaning resume, of course, not necessarily how good they are..... 1 top 50 win based on Sagarin and easily the worst record against top 50 than any of the other top 20. At least they won 28 games last year.
