What advice would you give a 15 year old boy who knows he's gay but is very conflicted about it?

Asking for my daughter, whose best friend in the whole world is the aforementioned kid. He's a great kid, very witty, loyal to a fault to my daughter. They're inseparable. He's spent weekends at our house before.

I think the world of this kid and I hate to think of the turmoil he's probably going through.

Would you have any words of wisdom for me?

I can see how one would think that. However, you've never met Dawson. He's not just gay, he's one of those guys you can spot from a mile away. I think "flaming" is the word for it.

I would say just be himself. Let his feelings guide his path, but don't let fear of the unknown change your course. Be true to yourself and everything will workout fine. Everyone experiences "bumps in the road" but don't let those bumps dictate your enjoyment in life.

18 will come soon enough and life will change dramatically for the better. High school is much more rough than life after.
