Anything can happen - don't know if I'd bank on 5 INTs again, but I think there will be more splits this year within the division.

I've got 12-4 with losses to PIT, CAR, IND and one dumbass loss.

It happens to everyone every season. Just so happens that Andy uses his dumbass game once a year at home.

Not this year. This team has a mission. #ChaseThatRing

From ESPN:

Compare that to the Chiefs, who play on Sundays 15 out of the 16 possible times this season. The only time they stray from their lovely course is to sneak out for a Thursday night contest against the Raiders in Week 14. Kansas City is the only team in the league to avoid facing two or more short weeks this year. The average team is up against 2.6 short weeks in 2016, so that's a nice hidden advantage for Kansas City.

Thought that was a nice little tidbit!

Here is Teicher's prediction. 10-6

The Kansas City Chiefs had to win their final 10 games last season to finish the regular season at 11-5. They won’t get off to such a rotten start in 2016, but they also won’t finish with such a flourish.

Week 1: Sunday, Sept. 11, vs. San Diego Chargers, 1 p.m. ET

The Chiefs will make it five wins in a row against the Chargers. That will leave them one short of the franchise-long winning streak over San Diego. Record: 1-0

Week 2: Sunday, Sept. 18, at Houston Texans, 1 p.m. ET

The Chiefs will get another road victory over the Texans, following the two they had last season. This game will be more competitive than the other two. Record: 2-0

Week 3: Sunday, Sept. 25, vs. New York Jets, 4:25 p.m. ET

It’s a great omen for the Chiefs to begin a season with three straight wins. They’ve done so eight times in team history and have made the playoffs in each of those seasons. Record: 3-0

Week 4: Sunday, Oct. 2, at Pittsburgh Steelers, 8:30 p.m. ET

The winning streak ends in a most difficult place for the Chiefs to play. Their losing streak in Pittsburgh is five games and extends back to 1986, when a victory in the final regular-season game put the Chiefs in the playoffs. Record: 3-1

Week 5: Bye

Week 6: Sunday, Oct. 16, at Oakland Raiders, 4:05 p.m. ET

The days of Kansas City’s domination in this series may be over, at least for the foreseeable future. The Chiefs have won five of six over Oakland since Andy Reid took over as coach, but the Raiders will notch another win here. Record: 3-2

Week 7: Sunday, Oct. 23, vs. New Orleans Saints, 1 p.m. ET

The Chiefs and Saints played a great game in their last meeting in 2011. The Chiefs never led in regulation, but tied it late in the fourth quarter, then won in overtime. The result will be the same this time, with less drama. Record: 4-2

Week 8: Sunday, Oct. 30, at Indianapolis Colts, 1 p.m. ET

The Chiefs head back to Indianapolis for the first time since their infamous playoff collapse after the 2013 season. The Chiefs won’t blow a four-touchdown, third-quarter lead because they won’t have one. Record: 4-3

Week 9: Sunday, Nov. 6, vs. Jacksonville Jaguars, 1 p.m. ET

The Chiefs need a victory to regain realistic playoff hopes. The Jaguars come to Arrowhead at just the right time. Record: 5-3

Week 10: Sunday, Nov. 13, at Carolina Panthers, 1 p.m. ET

Against teams that won the NFC the previous season, the Chiefs have won the past two and three of the past four. But all of those victories were played at Arrowhead Stadium; this game won’t be. Record: 5-4

Week 11: Sunday, Nov. 20, vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 1 p.m. ET

Arrowhead Stadium can be an inhospitable place for visiting quarterbacks and Jameis Winston will have a rough time in his first career game against the Chiefs. Record: 6-4

Week 12: Sunday, Nov. 27, at Denver Broncos, 4:25 p.m. ET

The Chiefs last year broke a three-game losing streak on the road against the Broncos, but they haven’t won in back-to-back seasons in Denver since 1999 and 2000. That streak will stay intact with a Denver victory. Record: 6-5

Week 13: Sunday, Dec. 4, at Atlanta Falcons, 1 p.m. ET

The last seven games between these teams have been decided by double digits, four by 20 or more points. The Chiefs will take a surprisingly one-sided win in this one. Record: 7-5

Week 14: Thursday, Dec. 8, vs. Oakland Raiders, 8:25 p.m. ET

The short week for a Thursday night game heavily favors the team that doesn’t have to travel. It’s the Chiefs’ good fortune to have this game at home. Record: 8-5

Week 15: Sunday, Dec. 18, vs. Tennessee Titans, 1 p.m. ET

A trap game for the Chiefs as it’s in between prime-time home games against division rivals. But the Chiefs will find a way to win anyway. Record: 9-5

Week 16: Sunday, Dec. 25, vs. Denver Broncos, 8:30 p.m. ET

The Chiefs haven’t beaten the Broncos at home since 2010. But that streak comes to an end on Christmas night at a loud and rowdy Arrowhead. Record: 10-5

Week 17: Sunday, Jan. 1, at San Diego Chargers, 4:25 p.m. ET

The Chiefs have won some narrow verdicts against the Chargers in their winning streak. The other side is due to win this close game. Record: 10-6

Teicher's conservative predictions piss me off every year. Last year he picked 9-7, was 2 short. I expect him to be at least 2 short again.

If he really thinks that this team is losing 6 with that schedule barring serious misfortune, well, he sucks worse than I ever thought.

Poor Miami. They get to open on the road at Seattle and then at New England week 2.

Calling it now, they aren't winning more than 5 games.

The logistics set up nice, but we have no clue how things shake out. Look at last year. Prior to the season, we thought that roadie in Baltimore would be a tough game and we ended up playing the D team.
