Really would be a successful haul of players, imo.
Coleman is an A+ pick that would give KC a potential #1 learning next to Maclin. Pushes Albert down the roster.. at least eventually if not immediately. Gives Conley some competition for #2 right away. As much as I want the Morse to LG and Fulton to C arrangement.. this doesn't seem to be the plan.. so a G like Garnett in rd 2 would be really good. The rest looks like something to feel good about. ![]()

I'd like this draft overall. I see some potential issues with slotting, but you never know how things will shake out. Here are my thoughts on that:
Coleman is the only receiver I can see KC drafting round 1, but they'd probably have to jump up ahead of Houston to get him. Basically, I see no way he drops to 28. I don't see Wright falling quite that far either given the lack of quality at the ILB position in this draft. For 3-4 teams, Wright makes a bunch of sense in the 4th to 5th round range at the latest. He did have that injury though, so it could happen. I've said before that I think Garnett is the best guard in this draft. My only tidbit of concern is his pass protection, but I like him alot at the range you have him. Matt Judon, with his production in college and his athletic measurements (compare favorably to Justin Houston), is one of my favorites in this draft if the Chiefs go for a pass rusher in the middle of the draft, but I think he'd have to go with their 4th round pick. Teams draft on measurements and projection often, and Judon has alot going for him in that department. I'm not a fan of Hall, I think he doesn't have the hips to play CB in the NFL and I don't know if he has the size (he's rail thin on tape) and pop behind his pads to play safety. I love Sims and think he's a real sleeper as a press corner. He's done well for himself through the offseason process. You get these guys at KC's current picks where you have them slotted, I'd be pretty elated. |

Hey! Thanks for the feedback gentleman, much appreciated!
This draft is more of a "if my wishes came true" draft, but there's a chance. Truthfully, I wouldn't be at all surprised if most of these guys go before the above positions. Jackson or Coleman have become my top targets for the 1st! ...Nkemdiche being my third choice. Hoping one of them drops! |
