I like headphones as well but too bulky at the gym, so I use earbuds there. I keep the volume very low.

Glad you are looking out for your ears. Too many people take their hearing for granted until it's too late.

I compose and produce music for a living. While I could always compose with poor hearing, I wouldn't be able to mix, especially a 100 piece orchestra with heavy guitars and sound design synths and other crazy sounds.

I take every precaution and I'm glad you're doing it as well.

i really need to work on protecting my ears.. I'm an idea machine and whenever my bandmate and I work on an idea.. and he does the drums.. the crash is so deafening..it was worse before we rented out a studio.
