The NBA needs something similar. The competitive balance is all out of whack. There are about 5-8 teams too many and only about 4-5 teams with a realistic chance to win it all.

The Rams, Cards, Bills, Browns, Bengals, Jaguars, Texans, Titans, Eagles, Lions, Vikings, Panthers, Falcons and Chargers have never won a Super Bowl.

That's nearly half the league.
