True, but the hand maiden probably had no idea of the implications either, or could've been from the targ regime. Either way, I'm taking a closer look at her on the next viewings.

They did that in my opinion, targ Kings guard. The hand maiden was trusted by the kingsguards too, and therefore Rygar. Seems the hand maiden was less of a concern then Ned's wife and best friend Robert......

I doubt Howland Reed is going to say anything in public. Though him showing up at Winterfell would be a great boost to Jon's support. That he traveled out of the neck in a time of great unrest in the Riverlands to basically give his blessing. Not to mention he was Ned's best friend.

Jon's "claim" (he wasn't even interested in) is based on his half stark bloodline, and his time growing up in the north compiled with his time on the wall and in the bastard bowl. It won't be deminished because the other half of his blood line is targ and not some random tavern slut. In fact I think it would strengthen it because it's another strong bloodline and not a random.

If he were half stark and half Lannister, however, that would/could cheapen his claim, that he didn't even want, from the northerners......

Howleen Reed is a wildcard, but in a good way, like pitch. Adds points to the trick taken. He's the only living person we know of importance that saw it (besides Bran in greenvision) and while rewatching in early season, Jojen Reed tells Bran he also watched Ned stark be beheaded with his greenvision, and when he told his dad, Howland, it was the first time Jojen saw his father, Howland, cry.

I like rewatching this show.......

Yes, but technically that was a Wite, the zombie like undead members of the white walker's and Nights king's army. They are all a bit different; as I understand it, the Knights King was made by the children of the forest to help fight mankind, putting a shard of dragon glass into his heart. The rest of the white walkers are Craster's sons, we've only seen 13 on the show, full grown white walkers, and one knights King (original) the rest of the dead army are Whites, brought back to life with blue eyes. (Remember Tormen and Edd at the castle black after Jon is resurrected, "well, your eyes aren't blue").

If fire doesn't hurt Jon now, it's because of the resurrection. But it does not deminish his targ bloodline. So why is it a topic of discussion?

Don't know if this has been posted before. But the 3 dragon riders if that is the way the book goes it Tyrion, Jon, and Dany. They all killed their mothers in child birth to come into this world. My guess is Tyrion has Targaryen blood in him. There is also a bunch of other similarities between the 3.

Mothers died giving birth to them

Lived the life of an outcast (Jon as a bastard, Dany as an exile, Tyrion as a dwarf)

Lovers died, arguably by their own hand (Ygritte/Drogo/Shae)

Third child of one of their parents (Rhaegar/Rhaella/Joanna) (of those who lived past infancy)

Subject of assassination attempts (Ides of Marsh/Manticore in Qarth, Titan's Bastard, Locusts/Mandon Moore on the Blackwater)

Rose to positions of leadership (Jon as LC of the NW, Dany as Queen of Meereen, Tyrion as Hand of the King)

Fathers/presumed fathers were killed (Rhaegar, Ned, Aerys, Tywin)

Killed someone in a position of power (Janos/Kraznys/Tywin)

Been betrayed (Bowen/Mirri Maz Durr/Shae)

Utilizied the help of "raiding" warrior tribes (Wildlings/Dothraki/Mountain Clans)

I read a theory that there will be no official confirmation of Jon's parentage and legitimacy to the rest of the realm, because it won't matter to them. Who it does matter to, though, is the Others. They know who Jon is (via the weirwoods), and he is the reason they have returned.
