He's probably currently around 15th or so among starting LTs in the league. Last year was his first full season of work with offseason strength training behind him. He'll get better, and if he can improve enough to be around the 10th ranked starting LT (a reasonable expectation) then the deal was worth it.

Catch up on watching football. Fisher hasn't been 'dogshit' since 2015.

Hudson is 'good', but his impact on the game isn't as great as a LT.

Fisher seems to finally be putting it all together and he played great the second half of last year. LT is a premium position and if you have a young guy with elite potential (which he finally started to show last year), then you lock him up. The Chiefs are gambling he will become just that.

I know one thing: I'd rather pay that $10 mil. a year to a young talented LT that was drafted 1.1 and has a ton of upside than a solid Center who was drafted at the bottom of the second round and doesn't have near as much of an impact on the game.

But to each his own . . . . . .
