Stats don't make you an elite QB, you dolt. If Alex Smith had an entire career like 2012, it still wouldn't make him an elite QB. The idea that QBR is the absolute measure of QB eliteness is totally ridiculous. Like I said, there are a lot of middling QBs who have ended up in the top 5 and it's not because they had elite seasons. It's because they had good stats for the year.
