Bucs abused the defense...

I don't care what you have to say about Smith or the offense. The Chiefs defense got absolutely ass pumped by the Bucs. They got one stop because Winston dropped the ball. When the game was on the line they couldn't stop anything. They gave up 5-8 ypc runs all day long. WR's were running around wide open and no one even sniffed Winston's jock.

Blame who you want on offense and there is blame to be had by them and Reid. But the defense killed us today.

Come on man that is no where near a given with this offense. You act as though it is.
The wind in the 3Q, which is when we didn't go for it, is not the same in the 4th when we are going the other way. And you keep going back to this having to be a 54 yard kick.

Again, you are all over the map. If your argument was even incoherent you would be light years ahead of where you are now.

I have no faith that Smith could've even led a late FG drive, had he even had the time. He throws no-look, one-read INTs into the end zone...

Point is, they constantly held on, keeping Tampa to FGs instead of TDs...keeping it within reach. Held them to 19. God forbid the offense actually step up, do their job and score more points than the other team.

I've never said it had to be a 54 yard kick.

I've explained my argument multiple times, very clearly.

You just keep making things up. Me saying it had to be a 54 yard kick at the end is a case in point

Hint: I never once did.

Hate to pour it on but, yeah, this is a trend.

On a perfect weather day, at home, against one of the worst defenses in the league, great pass protection, and the running game doing well, our offense failed to out up 20 points.

That is ****ing pathetic. Our offense is ****ing pathetic and it's a direct extension of lackluster QB play.

No, you just keep using to choose not kicking a 54 yard FG into the wind in the 3rd Q, down by 1 as your crutch for not being able to kick a FG of unknown distance with the wind at your back in the 4th Q to win the game.

Yeah, that's what you said

I think there was like one offensive holding call all game combined.....at least in the first half. I'm not sure I've ever seen that. Winston was barely touched as a result. Smith didn't take a sack.

The only issue is that if a game is going to be called like that...it a distinct dis-advantage for a team with the better pass rush. I saw at least 3 overt muggings that should have been a 10 yard penalty.

That is one way a team gets off the field on 3rd downs.

Have to give Winston credit too...he was sharp today.

Sutton brought little of anything up the middle. Never sent any safeties or CB's on blitzes. This was about as blah of a game plan is it gets.

Doubt forget that the kicker was healthy in the first instance and injured in the second also.
Convenient to leave that out

You also said that the panthers didnt try a fg because of the wind also.

If they wanted they could have kicked the ball before the 3rd quarter time expired and had the wind at their back according to your theory.

Their third down snap was with 22 seconds left in the third qtr and they punted at 1500 left in the fourth.

Maybe the winds were more swirling than straight line.

That's because the team hasn't detailed it yet.

They definitely said he had injured an ankle.

People were acting like not calling holding penalties had no effect...so how does this anomaly happen on the road at Arrowhead?

"Winston has taken 7.4 quarterback hits (tied for most in the NFL with Andrew Luck) per game over the first nine contests, so it was disappointing to see the Chiefs unable to take advantage of Tampa's banged-up offensive line."

No I'm not assuming that, I am assuming that if he could kick an ankle injury would most likely impact it and the decision especially concerning length of kick.

I've even said that if they got the ball on the thirty they would have had to get 45-50 yards (which doesn't score a td) in less than 2 minutes with no time outs to try a fg with an injured (we don't know how bad) kicker.

Im not thinking that a given to believe we could pull off.

You are acting like it's a certainty.
