Bucs abused the defense...

I don't care what you have to say about Smith or the offense. The Chiefs defense got absolutely ass pumped by the Bucs. They got one stop because Winston dropped the ball. When the game was on the line they couldn't stop anything. They gave up 5-8 ypc runs all day long. WR's were running around wide open and no one even sniffed Winston's jock.

Blame who you want on offense and there is blame to be had by them and Reid. But the defense killed us today.

So...why didn't the refs call holding?

Remember how our defense gave up two potential interceptions? Yea that would've been nice too.

If you throw it deep you at least have a chance at a pass interference call that would put you in field goal range. More of a chance than the play Reid chose.

Chiefs arent a big enough market...and this is the invisible hand the dictates outcomes. There wasn't a single penalty until under a minute of the first half.

This is one reason why the Bucs only punted like twice. They rarely were facing 3rd and long and Winston had all day.

Poe got absolutely mugged on a play that Winston extended...it resulted in a FG a few play later.

TB's 1st half drives were like 11 plays, 9 plays, 9 plays and 11 plays...extremely uncharacteristic of this defense...especially at home with the crowd noise.

They would've had to have returned them for TDs, too. Just like vs Jax.

Because the only thing Alex is more allergic to than third down conversions are touchdowns.

20 points is all it took to beat the Bucs at home, and all Alex has to do is NOT turn the ball over. That's all. Even as bad as the defense was today, even though Penis Winston threw for 300 yards...they still gave the offense a chance to win.

This is the worst this defense will play all year, hobbled as they were...

All it would've taken was 20 points...and the offense couldn't even manage that's

At home.

Pathetic.
The defense also kept the Bucs offense on the field way too long, giving our offense less chances to score. 11 minutes difference in TOP. It is more than just about the score. You need to D to force more than 2 punts in a game. You need them to get the ball back for your offense. The D was worse.

Are you saying (*gasp*) that NFL officials don't call a fair and impartial game??

Tell me more...

Or...how about they wouldn't have put points on the board?

Sucks when the refs don't call blatant holding calls, eh?

It can directly affect the outcome of the game.

YOU STILL HAVE TO SCORE MORE POINTS THAN THE OTHER TEAM, TIGGIE.

Who's going to score TDs after the defense takes these hypothetical picks??

"Common sense, dipshit."

Penis did have a turnover today. Didn't matter BECAUSE WE PUNTED AFTERWARD.

"Common sense" says points off turnovers win games.

But common sense says that you have to an offense capable of scoring more than 17 at home to make that a reality.

The bottom line is the defense has to give your offense opportunities to score. If you let the opposing offense take long drive after long drive eating up the clock you give your offense fewer drives, and fewer opportunities.

What the ****?

We were without both Allen Bailey and Jaye Howard
We were without a CB who's up for DPOY
We played the second half without Dee Ford
Houston wasn't even close to 100%

That's 5 starters. What the **** did anyone expect to happen? The defense wasn't great today. But they shouldn't have to carry the offense every. single game. And the offense duffed too many opportunities against a bad defense. By the way... much as I wish Alex could rise above because that's what good QBs do, in fairness we had several drives killed by horrendous playcalling and completely shitty short yardage plays today.

I'm saying that AFC vs. NFC games this year have had very suspect officiating. They seem to tighten it up with divisional games.

TB was playing with a banged up o-line..and weren't very good when healthy. No team is going to get pressure if holding is ignored all game. Even if it was called that way for both sides...it negates KC's advantage of superior defensive talent. ..not to mention the noise and snap count that Arrowhead brings.

It was VERY out of the ordinary...and went against how the Bucs have performed all season. They were tied for the worst o-line in the NFL...but looked like Dallas today.
