Fine Dining in KC

Wife and I are headed up to KC in a couple of weeks.

Her only request is that we hit Arthur Bryants once while we're there. However, we dont get out often together without the kid, so I'd like to take her to an upscale restaurant while we're there.

I don't trust yelp anymore aside from pictures, so I figured I'd get you guys thoughts on the better places in town?

Which places aren't worth the hype? What are the hidden gems?

We got a vacation rental outside of the city in the Leawood area. We dont mind doing some driving, though, so any location is open.

Lots of great suggestions, guys. I'm gonna let the wife sift through this and see what she wants to do.

I miss the lobster pot. Not that it was fine dining though.

Do yourself a favor and go to Johnny Cascone's instead of Garrozos. Garrozos is good, but Cascone's is better.

I don't know why a person would go to Kansas City and eat anything other than barbecue for every meal.

Gaslight Grill wouldn't be too far from you if you're in Leawood.
