Well the pass rush has been nonexistent the last few games & I don't even want to mention the run defense.

Yea, i agree.

It's just that some people can't discuss the defense at all without referring to "He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named"

Houston's and Hali's seeming inability to spin or duck around the corner anymore is a grave concern. It's nice to have Ford these days, but he didn't get to him either.

While I think the defense is the better half of our team BY FAR, it's not like we've not made-up saying like, "3rd and it doesn't matter" and/or, "3rd and Sutton." And those are mainly because, unlike ours, almost any NFL O-line allows their QB and WRs long enough to make a play. And our D-line is a large part of why that's the case, they're simply not getting close enough, fast enough, to their QB. And by the 3rd quarter our offense has done everything they can to make the D play gassed.

Let's pray Andy has looked in the mirror and realized that his game-day coaching skills and Alex's skills, and perhaps their ban on Alex changing the play, are the biggest problem and he turns over a new leaf.

I blame Andy more for the offense than Alex.

He certainly is first in line for blame for the offense sucking (and gassing the defense) because of his position in the organization, but there's no doubt Alex isn't very good. To what degree Alex is hamstrung by Andy, we don't know, we won't ever know, but Alex's moments of awesomeness are far too few and in between once the huddle is broken.

Again, JMO after watching these guys for far too many years.
