Since this is a Chiefs board, I think mega threads for Chiefs related things are silly and really make the Chiefs news hard to find. I know I miss a lot because I don't click on the Chiefs mega threads and wade through all of it to find something new.

For those of us who love baseball, I think most have no problem posting in a megathread (Royals or Cards) as many posters here do not care about baseball and they shouldn't have to sift through daily baseball threads on the main page. Same thing with college basketball too. I think mega threads for those things make sense and aren't as difficulty to follow.

Segment that guana. Mega's for other teams, KU, Royals offseason, Draft, food, poop, etc. But individual threads at player level, or something appropriate.

I'm opposed to "Megathreds" for NFL Draft discussions.

Day 1, Day 2 or Day 3? Sure.

But megathreads tend to turn off people, so when draft rolls around, there are scores of "Who the **** is this guy? Is he any good?", which inevitably leads to "Dozens of us have been talking about this guy all year".

It just seems counter-intuitive, to me.

Yeah, I totally agree that the Draft Sub Forum should remain but I also believe that draft discussion in the Lounge should be promoted and not just become a "megathread".

Agreed. It's extremely rare I even open a megathread, much less post to it. That shit is AIDS. That's one reason I'm a big proponent of using sub-forums, and kind of a reason I lost my shit last year. I like being able to go to the topic area I want to discuss and find the thread about what I want to discuss, rather than wading through a 300 page pile of dung.
