I went back through this thread and currently have 22 things on the "to do" list. Things won't change overnight, but it's a good list to keep the mods and steering committee on top of areas we should at least consider improving. Thanks again for all the feedback!

If you really want to make CP great again, I would have a thread about the TOS where people could ask questions about the terms, and try to establish what is firm and where there exist "shades of grey".
Those shades need to be identified, clarified, and/or eliminated if they can not be given concrete definition.

I don't think starting a new account is or was ever against the tos. People had started over or been permitted to start over in the past. I think that using multiple at the same time or coming back after having been banned was against the tos. Otherwise a silly trolling project was often permitted. But now you'd get banned or disabled or MUed without any warning and have no method of redress which is kind of lame. Esp when the site could use the traffic anyway.

Might not be true now, but in the past is what standard MO for a mod to do this then hide or ignore...

I dont think this group will be that way. I have met a few of them (via in person or phone) and they seem to be very honest and level folks.

Could you imagine if htismaqe was here? He yelled at GoChiefs for slowing down the server lol and his strict "you must be active with football posts in the lounge or be banned". He was only around during the day though, and most of the fun back in the day was at night lol

It happened to some and because messages or emails to planet mods / admin were never answered, there was no way to come back legitimately. I don't know if that is not monitored or what.

Personally I lost access to my original name but no one answered a request for help and so I ended up taking a long vacation. I have never been banned.

But I also know my bro tried to sign up here more than once and the account was never approved.
