You are probably right. The NFL needs a developmental league. Even though I paid little to no attention to NFL Europe at least guys like Bray had a chance to get some playing time. Guys like Warner and Delhomme were able to work on things and it worked out well for them.

NFL Europe should definitely be brought back, it would serve two purposes

1) provide playing time for young upstarts who need it to succeed, as you mention

2) put all of this talk about real teams in London or Mexico City to bed once and for all

they should test out what a system like a conference in Europe and a conference in NA would look like.. I could it things evolving 20+ years from now.. where NA team faces a european team in the superbowl
