Small things in life that gravel your ass
What are some things in life that are really not that big of a deal in the big picture, but just piss you off?

My example of the day:

The dogs were barking at something today out in the alley, so I went outside to find out what the hell was going on. Some Slippery Larry contractor was back there unloading a bunch of shit into my city garbage container.

Me: Hey there strokestick, are you my new neighbor or something?

Slippery Larry: No

Me: Yeah, I knew that, then why are you dumping your crap out into my garbage container? I have plans to clean out the garage and am going to need the space.

Slippery Larry: I don't know.

Me: Do you live in a house, do YOU have a garbage container?

Slippery Larry: Yes, but it's full, so I'm dumping it in here.

Me: No, no you're not, try the city dump. Don't let me ever catch you back here pulling the bullshit again, or we are going to have a big problem.

At that point, he high tailed it out of there.

Like I said, it wasn't like the guy was back there trying to break into my shop, but it rubbed me the wrong way.

Years ago I hit a foot deep pothole on a rainy night in Chicago. Took out both tires and rims on the passenger side, did damage to the undercarriage, plus I had to take my wife to the ER because it hurt her back. That sucked. And of course it just counted as an accident on my insurance and the city didn't pay shit.

That's exactly why I didn't call the city. Too much hassle and truly don't care about anybody's wellbeing. I did, however, call my insurance in hoping they'll pay for two tires and 2 rims. I just wanted to have a good day lol.

Diner with a row of booths. Someone at one booth talks directly over my booth to someone in another booth. Especially when one booth is populated with members of the DPC (dead pecker club) who are hard of hearing to start with.

I usually get it to stop by telling my wife (fairly loudly), "Don't you just hate it when people yell over you when you are eating breakfast?"

I did check into filing a claim against the City of Chicago, and was essentially told it would be like suing God.

Plus, they actually fixed the pothole the next day, so it was gone by the time I went back to take pictures. I'm sure they would have been like "what pothole?" Bastards.
