I think that trying to get by with other team's garbage at QB, with a guy who is "good enough" and won't mess up, is ridiculous. It's a part the Chiefs have been going down for 35 years prior to this season, and it killed my ability to enjoy any regular season success.

I think you misread my statement. I said I was fed up with "not sucking" - not that I was "not wanting to suck." Not sucking = investing in resources that ensure the team is good to be around the playoff/wildcard picture (and maybe even a division champ when the schedule breaks right).

I'm fed up with being happy averaging a 10.5-5.5 record and making the wildcard round.

I'll never agree respectability was a worthy goal with the new regime. Tear it down and start trying to build it back up in a way that can win the Super Bowl from Day 1, rather than just getting around to it Year 5.

All Alex Smith really did was waste four more years of Chiefs fans' time.
